RUNNING SESSIONS  SUNDAY MORNINGS

Raquel has completed many running events, marathon swims, triathlons, duathlons, aquathlons, half marathons and 10 marathons (42.2km): Sydney Marathon, New York Marathon, Great Wall Marathon in China, Melbourne Marathon, Tokyo Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Great Ocean Road, London Marathon, Chicago Marathon & Canberra Marathon.

Every Sunday: short run (beginners) + long run options (runners).

DETAILS: Join a group run, get and learn more about running,  get motivated, meet new people, enjoy different running routes, have guidance, advice and support from a very experienced and highly qualified long distance runner and running coach and avoid injuries.

Event preparation: 5km – 10km – 14km (City2Surf) – 21.1Km (Half Marathon) – 42.2km (Marathon) – Ultra running

Some races: Canberra Marathon, Half or 10km (7 April 2024), Great Ocean Road Marathon and other distances (16-19 May 2024), UTA trail running races Blue Mountains (16-19 May 2024), HOKA Runaway Sydney Half Marathon (5 May 2024), Brisbane Marathon (June), Gold Coast Half Marathon & Marathon (July), 14km City2Surf event preparation (August), Sydney Marathon (September), Melbourne Marathon (October), Bondi to Manly Ultra 80km Solo or Relay (The Relay option divides the 80km Ultra from Bondi Beach to Manly Beach into four legs, roughly 20km each. It’s a great challenge to do with friends or colleagues), New York Marathon, Berlin Marathon, etc.

BEGINNER?: Start getting into running and improve progressively from your own fitness level. You will start from jog/walks to jog/runs.

(RECREATIONAL) RUNNER?: Join to achieve your goals and meet new people with similar interests.

LONG DISTANCE RUNNER?: Achieve your endurance goals and long runs with others while enjoying different running routes. It makes the long runs much easier and enjoyable.

LOCATION: Centennial Park or within a 5km radios.

PACE: You will run at your own pace. Preferible take easy your long runs and keep your heart rate low. Use your aerobic system (instead of your anaerobic system), build endurance and last for longer by pacing yourself.

Distance option 1 – Long run (16/20km to 30/32km) – Option 1 TIME: 6:30am or 10/15min earlier or later. It depends on the run.

Distance option 2 – Short run (From 2/3km to 10km, or a bit longer) – Option 2 TIME: 7:30am or 10/15min earlier or later. It depends on the run.

Important information:

The sessions/packages of a 10-week running program don´t accumulate to new programs. However if you need to miss 1 Sunday Run, you are very welcome to join another group session to make it up.
